CEC. Education, ICT and Human Resource Development,Dr. John Obiero Ogone received an education delegation from the Republic of South Korea, visiting Kisumu county on an educational exchange program. The visit agenda included meetings with the county education officials and the Kisumu Union primary school.

 In a ceremony held at the Kisumu Union Primary,Dr. Ogone expressed his gratitude to the delegation for having the opportunity to visit with the school in Kisumu county. “I am pleased to note that education is collaborative and sometimes we learn from each other”. Says Dr. Ogone.

The delegation donated a number of learning materials that will benefit many more schools across the county. The head of the South Korean delegation,Mr. Sam Bok was impressed by the efforts of the county Government of Kisumu and the education community in uplifting child education.  He further encouraged pupils to work hard.  “You are the power of this county and I hope your education goes beyond Kisumu county, beyond Kenya and the world over.” Says Mr. Bok.

The CEC also acknowledged the number of registered pupils in early childhood program in Kisumu union primary which is currently at 40 children in number. He promised to come up with an initiative that will attract more children into the ECD program in the school.

Present at the event was the County Director Education,Mrs. Lilian Oneya,county officials,pupils,parents and teachers of the Kisumu Union primary school.
