Day two of the trainings on Environmental protection and Conservation saw 51 members of the 4K Club at Tido Primary School in Kisumu East Sub county take an active role in learning and planting trees.
The trainees were briefed about the Green Cities Initiative and also enlightened on the significance of trees in line with environmental conservation and protection.
Showing commitment to the 4K club slogan “Learn by doing” both the members of the 4K Club and the trainers displayed a concerted effort and team spirit to make the exercise awesome.
The teachers in charge of the 4K Club at Tido Primary School, Mr. Dominic Otieno and the counterpart, Madam Susan Otieno, thanked the County Government and Food and Agriculture Organization( FAO) for putting their school on the global map on matters environmental conservation and protection.
They also promised as a team of the 4K Club to work closely with the County Government in lifting high the banner of the Green Cities Initiative.
Trainers comprised County officials from the Department of Agriculture, Mr. James Samo, Madam Monica Aluoch Ojigo, Madam Pamela Aketch, Martina Rita from department of Planning, flunked by the County Liaison Officer for Integrated Action for Innovative Food Systems and the M& E Officer Brian Bodo
