The county directorate of climate change in partnership with Slum Dwellers International Kenya (SDI-Kenya) organized the Voices for Climate Action Stakeholders Workshop aimed at providing an opportunity for stakeholders to deliberate on how to amplify voices for just climate action to ensure that decisions on climate change are participatory, transparent and accountable.
The one-day workshop brought together stakeholders in the climate change sector to deliberate on the work plan that enables communities to benefit through the Kisumu County Climate Change Fund and the Financing Locally Led Climate Action (FLLoCA) Programme.
The objectives of the workshop are to support the stakeholders to come up with innovative solutions that benefit the community and their environment and to establish effective partnerships that can secure climate justice for Kisumu County.
