Kisumu County Government has established the County Business Incubation and Innovation Center where start ups and Small Enterprises receive mentorship ,market access support and skills development to fast-track their growth and competitiveness.
These were said by the County’s Deputy Governor Dr.Ochieng’ Owili during the Enterpreneurship clinic themed “Kisumu my Pride”where he added that the county has partnered with financial institutions to provide affordable credit solutions toilered to the needs of the growth and aspiring MSME’s.
“We have also undertaken zoning and upgrading of market infrastructure including the modernization of Kibuye Market as well as the commissioning of modern markets such as Kombewa ,Chichwa,Korowe and Uhuru Business Park” he said.
Dr.Owili also said that they have fostering strategic collaborations with institutions like KEBs to train MSMEs in product quality,packaging certification and product readiness.
