Kisumu City will host this year’s edition of the popular Dala Sevens Rugby Tournament beginning from 13th-14th at Jommo Kenyatta Stadium Mamboleo.
The organizers of the tournament,Kisumu Rugby Football Club Secretariat paid a courtesy call to Kisumu Governor Prof.Anyang’ Nyong’o came by to bring him to speed on their preparedness for the tournament.
“The tournament attracts all and sundry from across Kenya and beyond”they assured him.
Nyong’o on his part said past editions of Dala 7s have attracted fans in their thousands and this year they anticipate to host close to 10,000 rugby fans and players routing for about 32 teams led by Kisumu Rugby Football Club.
“We guarantee our full support as a County and commit to liaise with the National Government to ensure enhanced security and safety for all” he added.
