After years of waiting, Bandani residents can finally see change taking shape under the Kenya Informal Settlements Improvement Project (KISIP2).

The construction of key access roads is not just improving mobility; it’s also rewriting the story of connectivity and opportunity for the community.
On the ground, the Auji–Pundo Road is progressing rapidly. U-drain works are nearing completion, and the laying of precast slabs is ongoing. Once these are complete, the final road surface works and tarmacking are expected by the end of November.
Even more transformational is the upcoming Pundo–NITA Road, whose construction is set to begin soon after a breakthrough agreement on the wayleave.
This critical link will finally connect Bandani to the main highway and the Kisumu CBD, solving a long-standing challenge that has limited access for residents, traders, and service providers.
Elsewhere in Migosi settlement, drainage works continue to enhance stormwater flow and improve sanitation, while in Kibuye under Lot 2, Stonefield Company is steadily advancing drainage and walkway works.

The Kibuye Settlement Executive Committee Chair has expressed the community’s satisfaction with both the pace and quality of the works.
During the two-day site visits, the County Project Coordination Team (CPCT) coordinator, Mr. Patrick Ogunde, commended the contractors for their progress and urged them to maintain quality and speed as the works near completion.
