It was song and dance for the Children of Dolphin Faith Orphanage in Kisumu today, as they were treated to an early Christmas by the ABDP staff who donated a consignment of assorted food staff among other items.

The ABDP team from Kisumu and Nyeri head Office were led by the Programme Coordinator, Mr. Sammy Macharia.

Mr. Macharia said it’s the culture of ABDP staff to put a smile on the faces of the needy children every Christmas festivity through a program dubbed buckets of hope, whereby they gather items and money to share with the needy children.
According to the Director of the organization, Mama Dolphine, the orphanage started way back in 1997. It dates back to a time of pain and tragedy when she mysteriously lost her only two sons; one in the year 1995 in the month of October and another in 1996 October the same week.

This experience almost plunged her to depression but her recovery process was rekidled by the children who came around her then.
She reiterated that the children around her gave her a reason to live and go out to work since she was a teacher.
The renewed hope and strength from the children was the reason why the Dolphin Faith orphanage gave birth to Madoma Korando Faith Children’s Learning Center.
The school began with few children but today it has grown to a population of 300 pupils in Primary , 150 in secondary schools and 20 students in tertiary colleges and universities of whom they pay their fees among other support.
In 2017 Mama Dolphine partnered with well Wishers , one from Germany who pays school fees through a dome house rented by German students on an internship program, the American supports the payment of teachers, while Mama Dolphine sources food for the children.
Her two daughters are assisting her with the daily running of the organization, together with the teachers some of whom are beneficiaries of the foundation who come back to assist after college
