The CEC member for Sports, Culture, Arts, Gender and Youth Affairs, Madam Beatrice A. Odongo, today held a consultative meeting with the National Bank of Kenya’s Regional Manager, Western and Rift valley region to discuss the possibility of partnership in hosting KICOSCA Games as well as Women Enterprises Development in Kisumu.
The county government is looking forward to hosting the 9th edition of KICOSCA games in January 2023.
Ms. Odongo was in the company of the Chief officer Mr. Ken Otieno.
In a similar event the team from Ragumo Taekwondo club led by the Coach Mr. Isaiah Oluoch, paid a courtesy call to the CEC member sports later in the day.
The team presented the Taekwondo Championship trophies certificates and medals to the CEC having participated in the Kwale End Year Taekwondo Championship that was held at the safari beach hotel in Diani Kwale county.
The team emerged position three in the seniors category and is expected participate in the upcoming All African games and the world championship games after selection to represent Kenya.
The selection process will kick off on the 20th through to the 21st of January 2023.
Ms. Odongo applauded the team for the exemplary effort and for representing Kisumu in the games, promising to work together with all sports teams and Youths to support sporting activities in the county.
