Governor Nyong’o stated that they had productive discussions on how Kisumu can unlock the value of public assets through their transparent and responsible privatisation. The core focus is to ensure that the benefits reach our communities while simultaneously protecting public interests.
“The engagement builds on our shared goal of promoting accountability, strengthening oversight, and encouraging sustainable investment in the county,” Nyong’o said. “We look forward to our continued collaboration as we advance more reforms in this sector.”
Present during the function were County Secretary Hesbon Hongo, CECMs Salmon Orimba (Public Service), George Okong’o (Finance), and Farida Salim (Trade and Tourism), County Attorney Otieno Aluoka, and other officers from the County and the Privatisation Commission.
