
Kisumu County through the Department of Trade, Tourism,Industrialization and Marketing prepares to host a Lakeside peoples meeting dubbed “Naam Festival” at the Kanda La Ziwa.
The event is set to run from the 24th to 25 February at the Dunga Hill Camp. It will mark the fifth edition of the festival that advocates for Justice for the Lake Victoria.
The event will bring on board the fishermen, artists, activists, students, environmental leaders, community SDGs/Champions, lakeside residents and politicians to hold a freestyle honest guided discourse on the lake economic, environmental and social issues in East Africa.
It will be marked the exhibition of artistic creations made from waste, as well as a live green music festival and address the lack of awareness on pollution and negligence of the lake.
