Revitalizing agricultural production tops our administration’s commitment to enhance food security, Kisumu Deputy Governor Dr.Mathew Owili has said.
Against this backdrop, Dr.Owili met a high-powered delegation from Earthfort, a leading biotech company that specializes in soil fertility and organic farming based in the USA.
Their products have been approved for local use by the Kenya Plant Health Inspectorate Service(Kephis) after successful trials with farmers at the recently concluded ASK Show at the Jomo Kenyatta Stadium in Mamboleo.
Earthfort is exploring avenues to set up a distribution hub in Kisumu to train local farmers on organic inputs for better yields.
Joining the discussions were Agriculture CEC Kenneth Onyango among other officials.
