Kisumu City Law Court has officially opened its doors for operations following the posting of a new Magistrate.
Kisumu City Manager Aballa Wanga together with Kisumu Chief Magistrate Dickson Onyango said the Court’s operations marks a major milestone in the journey to deepen access to justice.

The newly appointed Magistrate Valery Adhiambo will be joined by the Court’s Administrator Noel Otieno, as the court’s operations and hearing is set to commence immediately.
“The Kisumu City Law Courts will significantly enhance efficiency within our justice system by consolidating key tribunal services under one roof and will also host critical bodies such as the Rent Restriction Tribunal and the Business Premises Rent Tribunal”Abala said.
He said the Court will ensure that residents access dispute resolution services in a more streamlined and coordinated manner.
Abala also said that the County and the City are committed to promoting fairness, accountability, and the rule of law.
“The operationalisation of this court is not just an administrative achievement—it is a promise to our people that justice will be brought closer to them, delivered promptly and with dignity” Abala said
