The County Government of Kisumu has embraced the Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) Framework to ensure effective service delivery to its citizens.
This was said during a forum organized by the Centre for Corporate Governance in conjunction with the County and Kisumu Water Sewerage Company (Kiwasco) to sensitize their leadership on good corporate governance.
“ESG is fast gaining traction in Kenya and the African space at large thanks to the increasing awareness of the impact of Climate Change on the continent” said the County Governor Prof.Anyang’ Nyong’o during the function.
In a speech read on his behalf by the County’s CECM in charge of Public Service, County Administration and Participatory Development Judith Oluoch, Nyong’o noted that good corporate governance without insightful social and environmental perspectives will always fail to achieve the results.
