Miral Welfare Foundation Kenya recently held a consultative meeting with Dr. Greggory Ganda, the Kisumu County Executive Committee Member (CECM) for Medical Services, Public Health and Sanitation, to solidify their partnership and expand their impact on child welfare.
Ms. Sarah Bae, leading the Miral Foundation team, discussed potential areas of collaboration with Dr. Ganda. The foundation, currently operating in Nyando sub-county, is committed to the belief that “Every Child has a Possibility.” Miral has been actively working to safeguard the rights and promote social inclusion of children, especially those who are vulnerable and living with disabilities.
Through their child sponsorship program and community-based rehabilitation initiatives, Miral has positively impacted the lives of over 1,200 children. The foundation aims to further its reach and strengthen its collaboration with the Ministry of Health (MOH) in the next phase of its work.
The two parties are poised to sign a memorandum of understanding soon, which will outline the details of their joint efforts. This partnership signifies a significant step towards establishing a robust civil-government alliance dedicated to improving the lives of children and their communities.
