County government of kisumu in partnership with the Kisumu Tae- Kwondo Federation today organized a Taekwondo tournament at the Mama Grace Onyango Social Hall.
The tournament which brought on board teams across the seven Sub counties focused on giving opportunity to young ones to develop their talents in the Tae- kwondo sector.
The event passed out as one of the best inter clubs’ tournament among the many activities that the Kisumu Federation has planned through the National and International Calendar.
It kicked off in the morning hours with 20 teams participating. The teams comprised men, women, boys and young children among them Jewel Momanyi from Kosawo Tae_ kwondo who won a medal at the end of the tournament.
The winning teams Victory clinched the first position, Kosawo coming second and Airport Tae- kwondo being third respectively received trophies.
Those who attained the 1st ,2 nd and 3 rd positions received medals totaling to 60. While all the participants were awarded with participation certificates.
The tournament was graced by the Chief officer Tourism Culture Arts and sports, Dr. Gerald Ondiek accompanied by the Director sports Talent Development Valerie Kizito Onyango among others.
